The Bible, Quran and Torah-Comparative Studies

More Muslims Getting Revelation That Quran Is a Man-Made Book–complete article here

“Indeed, according to Dr. Daniel Janosik, Director of Islamic Studies at SES, Islam is on the brink of both a physical and an academic implosion.
“Internally, we see a growing divide between Sunni and Shia Islam,” Janosik said. “But perhaps even more significant is an impending Quranic implosion. More and more, Muslims are realizing that the Quran does not have the earmarks of a revelation of God but, instead, is a man-made book. And with this realization is coming an exodus of Muslims from the Islamic faith. This academic implosion will have a much greater effect of turning Muslims away from Islam than recent criticisms of the Bible have had over the last several centuries—the reason being that we have been able to answer criticisms of the Bible and demonstrate its trustworthiness. Supporters of the Quran will be unable to do the same.”
Janosik said that the projections of the Pew study are based on present conditions, but these conditions are changing rapidly.
“For 1,400 years, Islam has been in existence. For 1,375 years, there were relatively few conversions to Christianity. In the last 20 years, however, there have been hundreds of thousands—perhaps millions—of Muslims converting to Christianity. Why? Because God is on the move and is doing something new.”

If the Quran Is True, Then It’s False–Tim Barnett–Stand to Reason

Conservative estimates put the number of Muslims on Earth at 1.6 billion. That’s about one-quarter of the world’s total population. By 2030, that number is expected to grow to 2.2 billion. The Muslim mission field is huge. The question Christians need to be asking is, how do we reach them with the gospel?

This task is actually more daunting than it might first appear. Ask anyone who has done extended work evangelizing Muslims, and they will tell you that it can seem next to impossible. This is because they have so much to lose. When a Muslim converts to Christianity, he could be disowned by his family, friends, and community. In addition, from an Islamic perspective he would be committing the unforgivable sin of shirk, which is punishable by death.

If we are to be effective in our approach to witnessing to Muslims we need to be strategic. Approaching them with a Bible verse usually won’t cut it. They have already written off the parts of the Bible that conflict with the Quran, citing corruption in the transmission of the New Testament text. We need a better way.

One strategy I have in my mind when I speak to Muslims is try to demonstrate from their own holy book—which they trust as God’s infallible and uncorrupted revelation—that they shouldn’t trust their holy book. Allow me to elaborate. (For complete article, click here)

The Quran, the Bible, and the Islamic Dilemma

Daniel Wallace on Islam & the New Testament
Dr. Daniel Wallace is the executive director of the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts and an expert in New Testament Greek and textual criticism. In this short interview, Dr. Wallace explains that there is nothing in the New Testament manuscript tradition that supports the Islamic view of Jesus, and that Muslims who believe that Jesus didn’t die on the cross, didn’t rise from the dead, and didn’t claim to be God must do so by blind faith, because the evidence completely contradicts their view. http://www.answeringmuslims.com
